  • Patient preference, plus
  • Confirmed deleterious mutation in a breast cancer susceptibility gene
    • BRCA
    • TP53
    • PTEN
    • CDH1
    • STK11
  • Or
    • Strong family history
    • History of thoracic radiation

Evidence

  • Reduces the risk of developing cancer by >90%


Reasonable to offer it if the above conditions are met, without too much controversy
