• Most common STI in Western countries
• Serotypes 6 and 11 typically cause benign warts, while 16 and 18 are associated with dysplasia/malignancy
• Classic lesion is the condyloma acuminatum/anal wart
• Transmitted by anoreceptive intercourse
• An aggressive variant, Buschke-Lowenstein disease, results in giant condylomata
