Technique:

• 1:
  • Submucosal lifting with saline
  • Suction the lesion into a cap, creating a pseudopolyp
  • Resect with snare
• 2:
  • Use suction to raise the lesion
  • Place a band at the base of the pseudopolyp
  • Use a snare to resect

Gastric/oesophageal EMR:

• Post-op:
  • High-dose PPI
  • Generally, short-interval surveillance
• Complications:
  • Bleeding (15%)
  • Stricture
    • Higher risk with circumferential lesions
  • Pain
  • Perforation
