== Introduction == Surgopaedia.org is designed for the open sharing of general surgical knowledge. It's a quick reference guide more than a detailed review. The topics are based on the curriculum for the Australian General Surgical Fellowship Exam. Therefore, the core surgical topics are very detailed, and the peripheral topics (like [[Shock]] or [[Empyema]]) are less detailed. It will be most useful for residents and registrars working in general surgery. Especially those sitting for their fellowship exams, who will be able to see the depth and breadth of knowledge required. Our aim is to make this a shared free resource for surgical trainees worldwide. Everything here can be found elsewhere if you know where to look - but not all in one place, and not open access.
